Day 1 — Older Persons Grant · Day 2 — Disability Grant · Day 3 — Child Support, Foster Care & Care Dependency. SRD R370 is paid in a staggered window in the final week.

Other dates follow the SASSA 3-day staggered pattern (Older Persons → Disability → Child Support) and may shift by 1–2 working days when SASSA publishes the official monthly notice. Wait until end of day — bank batches may run late on payment day.
Check status: srd.sassa.gov.za or *134*7737#.
Check banking details haven't lapsed (closed accounts return funds to SASSA).
Call 0800 60 10 11 with your ID and case number.
If still nothing after 5 working days, visit a SASSA branch.

Frequently asked questions

On what dates does SASSA pay grants? +

SASSA pays in a fixed monthly order: Older Persons Grant first (usually the 1st–2nd), then Disability Grants the next working day, then Child Support and other grants the day after. SRD R370 payments are staggered across the last week of each month based on the last 4 digits of your ID.

Why does the date sometimes move? +

Payments shift forward when the scheduled day falls on a weekend or public holiday — they pay on the prior working day where possible.

What if my SASSA payment is late? +

Bank-paid grants normally reflect by mid-morning on the payment date. If nothing arrives by end of day, check your status on srd.sassa.gov.za or call 0800 60 10 11.

Can I collect at any Pick n Pay or Shoprite? +

Yes — once payment is released you can collect at any participating Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Boxer, Pick n Pay or Post Office with your ID. Funds expire after 3 unsuccessful collection cycles.
