Capitec Branch Code 2026
The only branch code you'll ever need for Capitec.
The Universal Code
Capitec uses ONE branch code for ALL branches nationwide:
Good News: It's Simple!
Unlike traditional banks that historically had different codes for each branch, Capitec has always used a single universal branch code. Whether the recipient opened their account in Johannesburg, Cape Town, or a rural town, the code is always 470010.
Why does Capitec only have one code?
Capitec Bank was founded in 2001 as a "digital-first" bank. Unlike older banks like FNB, Standard Bank, or Absa that started with physical branch networks (each with unique codes), Capitec designed their systems from scratch with centralized processing.
This means you never need to ask someone which branch they opened their account at. Just use 470010 for any Capitec payment.
